I'll be induce tomorrow!!!!

I went to the OB/Gyn today which is my 38th week and 5th day of pregnancy. They checked my cervix and I am already 5cm dilated!! Woohoo!! They said that since I am already 5cm and almost on my 39th week then they can induce me anytime. They scheduled me tomorrow around 6AM but they told me to be there by 5:30AM. OMG!! This is soooo exciting and scary as well. Imagine, I'll be giving birth and I'll be holding my baby in few hours from now!!!

OK! I need to get ready all the stuff that I have to bring for tomorrow plus I have to go to bed early and get some sleep so that I have strength for the BIG DAY.

Please Lord, guide us and be with us during the labor and delivery.

Zac's baby shower

Woohooo! I had fun with my baby shower. We played 6 different games:

Never say baby game. Each of the guests will get a pacifier necklace once they arrive. No-one is allowed to say the word "baby" during the baby shower. Whoever hear someone say the word baby from a guest, takes the guest's necklace. The guest who collects the most wins the game :)

Guess the chocolate Game
. Each diaper (made of tissue paper) has melted 8 different chocolate bars separately. You need to smell each diaper and guess what's chocolate in it.

Cotton balls Game. You need to scoop cotton balls as much as you can using a spoon within 30 secs. The guest who gets the most cotton balls wins the game.

Guess Mom's Tummy Size Game. They need to guess my belly's size using toilet paper. Each guests needs to pull toilet paper which they believe would fit perfectly around my belly. The one who gets the right size or is the closest to the size wins the game :)

Baby Scrambler. There are 25 baby related item listed in a piece of paper. Guests needs to unscrambled the words to get the right words. The guest who gets the most wins the game :)

Baby Shower Bingo Game. It is like the usual Bingo Game except that what's in the card are pictures of baby related items instead of numbers.

I made baby bunnies out of wash cloths for the baby shower favors and I also made diaper cake. I was glad because almost all the people I invited were there. I am happy for my bay because he got lottssss of gifts :) I feel like he is so loved by the people around me :)

37th week and 5th day

Went to my weekly visit to the OB and I am STILL 4cm :( I have been 4cm for 19 days now. I wish I'll give birth pretty soon! I really want to hold my baby right now :( How come it seems like days are getting slower on the 9th month of pregnancy??

I know that God has a plan and He is the only one knows on when is the right time so I surrender Him everything. But oh my! I am just excited to see my baby :)

Baby Shower Invitation

Last 5th of Dec. . my in-laws and niece decided to plan for my baby shower. I was freaking excited that day. The baby shower will be held at home on Dec. 12th. I was actually thinking of making invitations but since we were running out of time because the baby shower is only 7 days ahead then we don't have any choice but to rush to the store to buy invitations that night. We sent the invitations to my friends and relatives last Tuesday and here is the pic of the invitation.
Oh my! I am so excited for this coming Saturday! :)

Gifts from Ailene

My good Pinay friend Ailene invited me to come over to their house (which is only 4 houses away from ours) and guess what??? She and her hubby gave baby Zac some prezzies :D

37th Week!!! Hoooraayy!!

YAY! My son made it!! He is on 37th week now and considered full term which means he is already fully develop and ready to come out anytime :) I am glad he made it!! I thought he will be born premature because of the strong and frequent contractions I had. God is so good :)

This is what I researched on what's happening during 37th week.

Congratulations — your baby is full term! This means that if your baby arrives now, his lungs should be fully mature and ready to adjust to life outside the womb, even though your due date is still three weeks away.

Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel like a stalk of Swiss chard. Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.

Soon ,.,.,,

Morning sickness, cravings, headaches, heartburn, backaches, sleepless nights, tired feeling and contractions are just some of the pregnancy things I had (having some still), but I know everything will be worthy when the time the baby arrives.

Soon, you'll be in my arms and I am sure that I'll be the happiest mom in the world when that time comes.

Soon ,.,, :)

36th week and 5th day

Yesterday I went to the OB for the baby's weekly check-up and guess what??? I am still 4cm. dilated! Oh well! I know it is still early but my concern is, I am afraid that baby Zac is already 8lbs. which I think I'll have a hard time pushing him. Why did I think he is 8lbs. already? I noticed that he gains 2 lbs. every 3 weeks and based on his last ultrasound (Nov. 17th), he already weighs 6.5lbs. Gulp! He is bigger than what a 34 week old baby should be. I don't want to have Cesarean delivery (CS) :( but of course I don't have any choice if CS is the only way on how to get out baby Zac hehe.

My other concern is that I am afraid that they might not give me epidural during delivery. That it might be too late for me to have it because I am already 4cm. I talked to some of my pregnant friends and friends who are mommies already and they told me that the anesthesiologist can still give me epidural til I am 8cm dilated.

I pray and hope that the delivery will turn out good and of course I want baby Zac to be healthy. I hope that there will be no complications for him.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon

Hubby and I went to the movie theater to watch The Twilight Saga: New Moon even though I am already dilating LOL! I know it is crazy thing for me to go out and do something instead of just resting and relaxing in bed. But the movie theater where we went is just 5 mins. away from the hospital so it wasn't really that dangerous hehe! Before we leave the house to go to the theater I talked to my baby first not to come out yet til the movie is over LOL! And I am happy that he let me watched the movie :)

What a week!!

Nov. 17, 2009 (Tuesday 8:00AM)- We went to see the baby's kidney specialist and we found out that Zac is 6.5 lbs already (he was 4.5lbs last 3 weeks ago) and he is really doing well. The amount of fluid in his kidneys didn't increased. YAY! this happened 2 months in a row now kicking.gif

Nov. 17, 2009 (Tuesday 9:30PM)- I had contraction from 9:30PM - 11:30 PM and the interval is every 10 mins which is not good. I didn't call my OB yet instead we waited another hour to see if the contraction will stop or continue but apparently the interval got closer. It turned 5 mins. instead.

Nov. 18. 2009 (Wednesday 12:30AM) - We decided to call OB then she told me to go to the hospital right away but I told her if it is possible for me to observe more of myself here at home for another 2 more hours because I don't want to go to the hosp then its only Braxton Hicks. She said ok and asked me to take a warm bath and lay down in bed but she also told me that if I am still having contraction after I did those then we need to go to Labor and Delivery room of the hospital.

Nov. 18, 2009 (Wednesday 2AM) - I was in labor and delivery room then they attached devices on my belly to monitor on how many contractions I am having and to monitor the movement counts of the baby. We didn't had problems in regards baby's movement as he moves ALOT. They admitted me for 2 and half hours for monitoring then they gave me Terbutaline shot to stop the frequent contraction. I was only 34 weeks and 5 days pregnant that day so as much as possible they want to prolong the pregnancy. The Terbutaline made the contraction stopped so they discharged me at 4:30AM

Wednesday 1:40PM - went to OB for my monthly check-up then they asked me if I ever had contraction again after getting the shot. I said yes, only once since 12PM (time when I woke up) then around 2:10PM, I had another contraction while talking to my OB. She touched my belly to feel it, then another contracton after 20 mins. She decided to admit me again and this time she wants me to spend over night in the hospital to monitor my contraction again because I am 2cm dilated at the same time. Again, they attached those devices again on my belly to count the contraction. They gave me the shot again then the contraction stopped. They decided to discharge me 8PM instead of spending over night because the medicine they gave me made the contraction stopped. The OB said that if the shot didn't made the contraction they have to stay there at the hospital til the next day. Thank God! the med worked. They prescribed me Terbutaline (in a pill form) and asked me to take it every time I am having frequent contraction.

Friday 10AM - Appointment again to the OB and this time I am exactly 35 weeks (LMP). They checked my cervix and this time I am 4cm dilated. OB decided that I should stop taking Terbutaline since the baby is unstoppable to come out. According to her let my body do the thing. If its already time for him to be born then let it happen. Anyway, I am 37 weeks based on the ultrasound I had so that baby is already considered full term.

First post for my first son

Good News! Hubby and I went to baby Zac's kidney specialist last Tuesday (Nov. 17, 2009) and according to the specialist, baby Zac is doing pretty good :) He weighs 6.5 lbs. now (was 4.5lbs 3 weeks ago) and the fluid that they found in his kidneys is the same amount as last 3 weeks ago. Hoooraayy! I am so thankful to God about this news. I think that every mom is always praying and hoping for better life for their kid. This time, we were able to get photos via ultrasound of his lil tiny hairs. Aww! plus when the laboratory technician was taking profile pics of him, he opened and closed his eyes and lips for us. What a very memorable thing for me and my hubby.

Here are some of his photos that I wanna share :)
